civic youth development
Local churches, if you’d like to support Hoosier veterans while strengthening your outdoor ministry, consider sponsoring a Cadet from your congregation. IN3D equips Cadets for success at the International Alert Academy in Big Sandy, TX.
ALERT Cadet Motto
The biblical basis for ALERT Cadet is to assist fathers in developing sons who are able to overcome the evil one (from 1 John 2:14). “Strong to Overcome"
ALERT Academy Ethos
We believe the forging process occurs as the Gospel transforms a man, discipline strengthens a man, hardship matures a man, camaraderie sharpens a man, training equips a man, and service focuses a man.
Donations required to cover uniforms, basic training manuals, etc. / regular weeknight meetings
A message from the Vetpark director: I think many vets can relate to this....the weather turns bad, the ruck is heavy, the miles keep coming. You’re cold, in pain, exhausted,- not knowing how long it will last — and then something shifts. You stop focusing on the suffering and start focusing on what the suffering is doing to you. You begin to understand that every step, every checkpoint, every obstacle is shaping you into something stronger than what started the march. And in that space, something else happens: you start taking pride in the experience. Not because it feels good, but because you can see the transformation taking place. You’re paying the price, and it’s working. The mountain is changing you. Growth is on the other side.
Young men — joining the military will not initiate you into adulthood. That responsibility belongs to your family, church, personal mentors, and community. But the military will test you. Likewise, the ALERT Academy Basic Training is mentally and physically demanding, using a military‑style structure of shared hardships, high standards of discipline, attention to detail, and intense daily schedules.

Soldier's Creed
I am an American Soldier. I am a member of the United States Army – a protector of the greatest nation on earth. Because I am proud of the uniform I wear, I will always act in ways creditable to the military service and the nation it is sworn to guard.
I am proud of my own organization. I will do all I can to make it the finest unit in the Army. I will be loyal to those under whom I serve. I will do my full part to carry out orders and instructions given to me or my unit.
As a soldier, I realize that I am a member of a time-honored profession—that I am doing my share to keep alive the principles of freedom for which my country stands. No matter what the situation I am in, I will never do anything, for pleasure, profit, or personal safety, which will disgrace my uniform, my unit, or my country. I will use every means I have, even beyond the line of duty, to restrain my Army comrades from actions disgraceful to themselves and to the uniform.
I am proud of my country and its flag. I will try to make the people of this nation proud of the service I represent, for I am an American Soldier.

Medieval Knight's Investiture Oath

sacramentum militare
Iurant autem milites omnia se strenue facturos quae praeceperit imperator, numquam deserturos militiam nec mortem recusaturos pro Romana republica!
I swear that I shall faithfully execute all that the consul commands, that I shall never desert the service, and that I shall not seek to avoid death for the Roman republic!
